I’m using this bar for Olympic lifting. It’s great quality, especially for the affordable price point.
– Medium knurl, felt a bit harsh for the first week but either it wore in or I got used to it.
– Just enough friction on the bearings: you don’t want them to spin forever, these turn freely but stop on their own.
– Nice whip on the heavier lifts.
– Chrome is holding up great after a few months of regular use and minimal maintenance.
– Sleeves are lightly ribbed, which helps keep the bumpers on. This is my only negative for this barbell, I prefer smooth sleeves to reduce wear on my plates.
This barbell is almost too good for a home gym. Really glad I invested!
